DECEMBER 14, 2004: Felicity Street sponsored a banquet to recognize the A.L. Davis Pit Panthers football team (12-13 year olds) as citywide N.O.R.D. Champions for 2003-2004. The event was held at The Neighborhood Gallery, 1410 Oretha C. Haley Blvd. Jerome “D.J. Jubilee” Temple, below in green, is the volunteer coach for the team. All 35 players received trophies provided by Central City H.D.C.’s Director Stanley Myers. Reverend Israel Jones and Bertrand Butler gave inspirational speeches to the team.
